The Constitutional Act 3/2007 of 22 March for effective equality between women and men, introduced new legislative measures regarding violence against women in relation to gender violence, sexual harassment in the workplace, and the right to asylum and refugee status for foreign women who are fleeing from their countries of origin due to justified fear of suffering persecution on the grounds of gender.
